One Moonday this song came up in 222.9 The Mothership’s Moonday rotation, and my stomach turned. It wasn’t that I didn’t appreciate the vocal abilities of both renditions. I found myself spiritually disturbed by the song’s message? Why so? Well, because as a spiritual advisor, many women call on me for healing and guidance…emotionally shattered by the aftermath of situations as this. So I use this song to encourage my earth sisters to really think twice about romanticizing mutual cheating. It is time to live on a higher level of spiritual intelligence.

They say love happens when it happens, but where do we draw the line? It concerns me because we live in a society that tries to make homewrecking the hip, cool thing to do. I’ve see/heard many women laugh and scoff at their ability to seduce another’s husband or man…then turn around and expect the world to stop when their heart gets broken. As women, we know that trusting a man with our heart is hard enough…why would we desire, or not care about causing another woman that pain, especially when we know what it feels like?

When do we stop and say, what kind of karma am I putting out on myself?
What kind of pain am I causing my partner/spouse? Do they really deserve it?
What am I doing to their children, and mine? Do they deserve a broken home and all of the drama that comes with my inability to discipline my passions?

The kind of living so enticingly sang in this song…omits the karmic justice one also signs up for after the indulge. It is no surprise that the infadel of a couple is always the one who turns out worse off in the end. Let’s learn from this song, if we are going to jam it.

Broken people create broken homes that create broken societies that create broken nations. As we emotionally heal, lets keep in mind that one of the best ways to heal yourself is to not become someone other people have to heal from. Then, your love becomes Universal. When your love becomes more selfless and Universal, you can attract love on a higher vibration than this song…while doing your part to raise the collective higher vibration…think about it!
