Love and Light, Starseeds!
I manifest this finds you well. Let’s have some fun with Gemini essence and explore some dualities in songs! I’ve pulled some timeless tunes by some dynamic singers, and I cannot always choose which is the best rendition. Today, we explore two renditions of the classic motown hit, You’re All I Need to Get By.”
“You’re All I Need to Get By” is a cornerstone love song. It was written by Ashford and Simpson in 1968. It was released in the season of the moon, July 9, 1968. Four vibin. It message of love is clear: as long as I have you(love), life is worth living. This is soulmate, kingdom spouse kind of love. It can also be a subtle gospel song, for those intimately connected to the divine.
The first rendition came out of Hitsville, Detroit. The original was recorded by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. Aries and Taurus, the perfect masculine and feminine fusion.
In 1971, a 9 year, the second rendition emerged from the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Like the Prince of Soul, she is Aries energy energy too. It cranked from the same magic musichouse, Hitsville, Detroit. She sang it solo, with harder string accompaniment to her blazing vocals.
Oh starseeds, this is going to be good! Here’s where YOU come into play! I ask YOU, starseed and music lover, what’s your favorite rendition and why? Which is YOUR favorite? Can you even choose?
