It is six days into the month assigned by the European calendar as \u201cBlack History Month.\u201d While I am filled with pride with thoughts of the rich legacy embedded in melanin, I must admit that I have mixed feelings. I write this to bring clarity and balance to these emotions. Why? For starters, February is the shortest month of the year. Secondly, why must I only turn up for Black History MONTH, knowing well that the histories and herstories of our vast history are far too vast to fit onto one month? What will we do with the remembrance of our rich history, once we resurrect it? All the while, I am proud to see the history, herstory we are creating every day, every moment. I manifest that more of us will more deeply embrace the power of this truth, and take a deeper mindfulness of our actions as we embed our moments in time. This is how we continue history\/herstory in the eternal now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In staying aligned with 2023\u2019s call to cleanse, release, and birth, I have decided to spend this month, as I will the duration of the year, releasing archives of my personal history, and how these archives were inspired by historical moments of triumph from those who went on before me. My melinated tribe, we have flourished in the face of unspeakable atrocity. I can’t speak for you, but this brings me a profound sense of joy! However, we still have a long way to go…and that is where I feel an overwhelming sense of responsibility. My manifesting prayer is that as we celebrate this Black History Month this year, we don\u2019t just do so because it is a familiar tradition. Lets go deeper into reinfusing the values of our historical figures into our everyday lives ,and their legacies everyday. Capture the history of the heroes who did remarkable things right there in your homes and towns. Saturate yourselves in the essence of our greatness as a people as we collectively elevate. It gives our future generations and undeniable template of divinity that only we possess. Beam up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
